There is a slight problem though. To get to my house one has to cross that stream over a typical "Texas crossing" - a dip in the road. There is no other way to get home. Now usually that's no big deal. But, two or three times a year our little stream turns into a raging river when the rains are hard upstream. Crossing it at those times is always a crap shoot. After 10 years I finally lost the bet. Here's my car the next day about 20 yards downstream from the crossing. My neighbors felt sorry enough for me to invent a drink in my poor car's name. Either our webpages are static with user initiated actions or single event animations like flash or animated GIF. I don't see any real effort to combine, synchronize, and orchestrate all the media elements at our disposal. This orchestration is what I call the <strong><em>Web Media Performance</em></strong>.<br /><br />Below is a visual blog example of what I mean. The performance is timed with different events like balloons, HTML and video containers, etc. A full blown performance can have many different shaped containers with any media element included.
